My kids come home with the Scholastic book order forms from school quite frequently. Since they all have an interest in books (and we want to help their class fundraising), I tend to order a book for them from each one (usually $1 or $2). In a couple of the order forms, they had an option to buy Scholastic Book Club Cash. Basically, you pay $6 and receive $12 worth of certificates to use on future Scholastic purchases (3 certificates worth $4 each). What a great deal - you save 50%!
So, I just placed my kids' first orders using the Book Club Cash and it was great to put "FREE" next to some of the items since we were using the Book Club Cash to pay for it.
Tip: Another way to save is to buy certificates like these for things you know you will buy anyway in the future. Be on the lookout for gift certificates to places you normally shop or dine at and purchase gift certificates when they have bonus deals (like buy $25 in gift certificates and get an additional $5 FREE, etc.) because that is like money in your pocket!

Did you have any issues with this? We bought some and are having issues ordering books now as it says only one cooupon per flyer and you can't buy one $1 and one $3 book and use one coupon...
